Forensics / Remediation

NWETC's Forensics and Remediation courses explore the analytical techniques used to address basic questions regarding contaminant identification, degradation, source, and timing of releases at contaminated sites.  The techniques discussed can be used to monitor site cleanup, including those sites being remediated by natural attenuation.  These courses address conventional and emerging technologies for groundwater and sediment remediation, the development of cleanup standards for sediment cleanup sites, and how to demonstrate compliance after cleanup.
