Is the US Being Left Behind regarding Carbon Capture Technology?

Canada and the European Union are the latest countries to demonstrate commitment to creating safe facilities for CCS, approving funding for sites in Saskatchewan and Brindisi, Italy respectively.

Various projects in the US are in the early stages of development and are expected to come online between 2012-2014, but funding and political support are tenuous at times.

Events such as the upcoming Carbon Tech Alliance's 2-day workshop, "Fundamentals of Carbon Capture and Sequestration" strive to educate the professional community about the technology and future of CCS, and bring experts together to continue developing strategies to minimize the impact of Carbon on the environment.
