EOS Alliance and Sustainable South Seattle kicked off their series of climate change workshops this last Wednesday night! It was great to see such a great turnout from community members concerning such an important issue.
The night started off with a short discussion lead by Deputy Mayor Darryl Smith. From there, Brooks Kolb led to way with an introduction of what we’d like accomplish locally and beyond. Afterwards, we divided ourselves into smaller groups for break out sessions and voiced our thoughts about possible solutions to the different environmental and social problems that face the community. The break out sessions opened up frank and honest conversation that engaged the attendees and sought to make the workshop feel more inclusive.
Thank you to all of those who came out to participate in the event! If you wanted to make it out last week but couldn’t have, come to our next event.
